 UNU-GEST is seeking applicants for an internship period during the spring semester of 2019.

The goal of the internship placement is to offer students in related fields of study an opportunity to get acquainted with applied approaches to work towards gender equality. The students participate in the daily work of UNU-GEST, administration of the post-graduate diploma programme in international gender studies for fellows from developing countries, and the UNU-GEST research programme. Applications shall be submitted via the UNU-GEST website.

Part-time or consultative opportunities within UNU-GEST

UNU-GEST works with a number of researchers, academics and independent consultants from around the world. UNU-GEST research programme has a strong focus on collaboration, particularly with partner academic institutions in developing countries. Field work in developing countries is generally carried out in collaboration with researchers from local universities or government agencies.

UNU-GEST maintains a database of specialists in different fields related to the work of the Programme for reference for future opportunities. We continuously seek experts on gender and development issues to join the UNU-GEST expert roster to collaborate with us to achieve gender equality around the world. We welcome to the roster candidates who possess the highest degree of integrity and professionalism, as well as demonstrated subject-matter expertise in gender-related matters that are a focus of the programme. In order to have their profile confirmed on the roster, experts must, as a minimum, have five years of relevant professional experience and be in possession of a Masters Degree or equivalent.
