Research

UNU-GEST fosters close collaboration with academic institutions and researchers in developing countries. One of the aims of the research programme is to build research and teaching capacity within partner academic institutions in developing countries and influence policy making in the field of gender equality within partner countries and institutions. Policy-oriented research is emphasised and the publication strategy targets respected and influential academic venues. UNU-GEST adheres to the The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity and to the University of Iceland Code of Ethics.

The UNU-GEST research programme is conducted in partnership with EDDA-Center of Excellence at the University of Iceland.
